Mountain summer

The Lechtal mountains can be discovered in many different ways. Every day you wake up in an unspoilt landscape, nestled between the Lechtal and Allgäu Alps. Hiking on well-trodden mountain paths, a bike tour into one of the idyllic side valleys, a swim in the natural swimming pond or a canyoning tour into one of the inaccessible gorges. Alternatively, you can lie down in one of the colourful meadows, breathe in the flowery scent and simply leave everyday life behind you. Whatever you want, you'll find it here. Everything in the immediate vicinity of the Hotel Gasthof Bären.

Hiking & mountaineering

Start your day tour directly from the hotel. Exploring imposing peaks with sweeping views, glistening mountain lakes, rustic huts and Alpine pastures is easy. Hiking trails of all levels of difficulty await your hard-working legs, at your own pace.

We will be happy to show you the way to the most beautiful places in the Lech Valley.

Mountain railways

If you want to avoid a strenuous ascent or return to the valley without straining your joints, simply use one of the 5 mountain lifts. With the Lechtal Aktiv Card, which is included in all our room prices, you can travel comfortably and free of charge to the centre of your mountain experience.

Swimming fun

After a beautiful hike, a refreshing dip in the cool water simply feels good. You choose: Whether it's a mountain lake, natural swimming pond, outdoor pool, indoor pool or thermal spa. In the Lech Valley, you have plenty of opportunities to splash around and swim.

Climbing

If you're not afraid of heights, climbing is the right activity for you. In the region around the Lechtal and Allgäu Alps and in the Lechquellgebirge mountains, a variety of climbing fun awaits you. For climbing beginners to hardened pros. Climbing courses are offered on an ongoing basis. We will be happy to inform you on site

Cycling & mountain biking

The Lech Valley Nature Park is also wonderful to discover on two wheels. On the well-developed cycle path network along the Lech, you can explore the idyllic little villages in a much more intense way. The side valleys with their mountain villages and alpine pastures demand a certain level of fitness, but reward you with fantastic mountain panoramas. With an e-bike, you can opt for the energy-saving option. There are several bike and e-bike hire options on site.

Air sports, canyoning & rafting

If you want to experience the Lech Valley in a special way, you can do so on a tandem flight at lofty heights, on a rafting boat or in a gorge while canyoning. We are happy to organise tours for you.
